John Gowing

John is the newest holder of the Machel-Mandela Fellowship with the Foundation in Johannesburg. John has a wide interest in areas of policy, strategy formulation, and solution implementation across issues of international significance. He joins the team from the United Kingdom after attaining a Masters in Applied Security & Strategy with the Strategy and Security Institute at the University of Exeter in 2022. He similarly holds a Bachelors in Ancient History from the University of Exeter where he was President of the university rowing club and co-founded a student OSINT research group.
