London Book Launch — 'Why States Recover'

Greg Mills, Director of the Brenthurst Foundation, recently launched his latest book, 'Why States Recover: Changing Walking Societies into Winning Nations - from Afghanistan to Zimbabwe' (Hurst) in London on 10 October 2014. The event was co-hosted by SOAS, the University of London, the Royal African Society, and Hurst Publishers, and was held in the Djam Lecture Theatre of SOAS. Guests enjoyed a musical performance by Brenthurst Foundation Associate and anthropologist Johnny Clegg, and a discussion involving Board Member Jonathan Oppenheimer, General Sir Nicholas Patrick Carter, Chief of the General Staff of the British Army, Professor Stephen Chan OBE, of SOAS, and Richard Dowden, Director of the Royal African Society.
